When the Gold Forum Europe 2023 recently held its annual meeting in Zurich, the prestigious event attracted thousands of gold experts and featured a variety of renowned keynote speakers recognized for their global expertise in precious commodity equities.
The Forum is the continent’s largest and oldest gathering of precious commodity equities. Now in its 20th year, the event showcases a majority of the world’s publicly traded gold and silver companies when measured by production or reserves. Gold Forum Europe is also Europe’s only independent investment event serving the precious metals sector. The Forum offers an unparalleled representation of private and publicly traded precious metal equities spanning all stages of production, development, and exploration.
The event took place April 11-12 in Zurich Switzerland, and one of the attendees, investor Mikhail Peleg, was there to mingle with representatives from world’s top gold and silver companies.
Peleg is a highly respected global expert on gold trading who is frequently asked to share his insights into the state of currency, including recent trends and forecasts. He described the Forum as providing a valuable exchange of cutting-edge ideas and perspectives that anyone in the currency field should make an effort to embrace.

The event featured keynote presentations by seven of the world’s top experts in gold. Included in the list of keynote speakers were Sean Fieler, president of Equinox Partners, who spoke about Gold Miners and Capital Allocation; and Brent Johnson, CEO of Santiago Capital, whose speech “An Inconvenient Truth,” drew applause.
Lawrence Leopard, managing partner at Equity Management Associates, discussed Gold Stock Selection Techniques; Charlie Morris, Chief Investment Officer of Byte Tree, enthralled with his presentation “Bitcoin and Gold are Key to Surviving an Inflationary Environment;” and Alf Peccatiello, Principal of The Macro Compass, spoke about “The Art of Macro Portfolio Construction in a Chaotic World.”
Additionally, John Reade, Chief Market Strategist and Head of Research at World Gold Council, presented “The Case for New Gold Production;” and Ronnie Stoeferle, Managing Director, Partner and Fund Manager of Incrementum, AG, discussed “Where Are We on the Gold Price Curve.”
The impressive list of keynote speakers added a unique “wow” factor to an event of a caliber that is simply not available anywhere else. The event organizer, the Denver Gold Group, also held several event-specific, multilateral meetings designed and managed exclusively for precious commodity investors and equities. Mikhail Peleg was among the attendees in those meetings as well, noting that they offered a huge range of impressive, one-of-a-kind opportunities.
Peleg said this year’s event was almost celebratory due to the lifting of pandemic restrictions and the face-to-face meetings exceeded his expectations. The Forum’s in-person event was canceled in 2022 due to COVID-19 restrictions and was instead held virtually.
